Attala County serves as a regional medical center of Central Mississippi. The Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital provides general medical, and surgical care. The 72-bed facility has a 24-hour emergency department, a 7 -bed coronary unit, an acute care unit, swing bed service and adult psychiatric care services. Out-patient services in a broad range of specialties are also available.

To keep on the cutting edge as a regional medical center, Kosciusko is served by two clinics, rehabilitation clinics, a kidney dialysis clinic, an ophthalmology clinic and various home healthcare services.

For the aging, several alternatives include the Attala County Nursing Center, which is a skilled nursing facility, private personal care homes and an assisted living complex. Kosciusko is also home to the 150-bed Mississippi State Veterans Home which provides care for the veterans in the region.
