CURRENTLY -The discussions concerning the operation of E911 have led to Attala County assuming operation of the E911 Department effective October 1, 2012. We all feel this is in the best interest of the community.
New traffic signals have been installed on Hwy 12 and work has begun on the intersection of E. Jefferson Street and Veterans Memorial Drive. Once completed all these intersections should have protected turn signals in all directions.
ALSO we are continuing to work on development of a "Splash Pad" for Jason Niles Park. The Board has discussed this with a group to design a pavilion/restroom area to be connected to the Splash Pad and hopefully we can get this done for summer 2012.
