Patrol Division

PThe Patrol Division functions as the most visible unit of the department, aspiring to serve the community in a competent and professional manner. Patrol officers are first responders who provide proactive police patrols, enforce federal, state, and local laws, traffic laws, and report accidents and crimes.  Currently, the department employs 16 sworn Patrol Officers to provide law enforcement patrol services to the public around the clock, every day of the year. The patrol division consist of four shifts with four Officers on each shift. Patrol Sergeants provide training and supervision for officers and oversee all patrol operations. This training enables our patrol officers to provide the best possible police service. Officers report to their Patrol Sergeant and are in constant communication with other divisions and departments to work on community projects and community safety.
The Patrol shift works in 12-hour rotations with both day and night coverage to provide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.
